Patric is going through a renaissance season at Lazio under Maurizio Sarri and he’s become the most accurate passer in Serie A.
The 29-year-old Spanish defender has been praised by the Italian coach on a number of occasions this season, describing the former Barcelona man as underrated and incredibly tactically flexible. Patric has played as both a right back and centre back this season, impressing in either position.
As collected by FBref, Patric is the most accurate passer in Serie A at this stage of the 2021-22 season; the Spaniard has completed 93.5% of his passes this season, above second place Stefan de Vrij (93.3%) and Stanislav Lobotka (93.1%).
In tangible numbers, the Lazio defender has completed 1052 of his 1125 attempted passes. WyScout reports the numbers a little different, likely due to the fact that FBref is only taking into account games where the player featured for at least 30 minutes.
Regardless, it’s clear that renewing Patric’s contract is definitely in Lazio’s best interest and the player is obviously a good fit for Sarri’s system.
