Milinkovic-Savic Absent From Lazio Training Session Ahead of Milan Clash

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic missed Lazio’s training session in Formello yesterday due to an illness.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder has been the centre of attention in the Biancocelesti environment in recent weeks as media reports chronicle his probable sale in the summer, with links to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain being consistently reiterated.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic didn’t take part in the Lazio training session yesterday due to a slight fever. The club gave him a COVID test afterward, which returned negative.

It’s unclear whether or not this illness will rule the Serbian midfielder out for the upcoming clash against Milan, but Maurizio Sarri is hoping to have his star for today’s afternoon training session in Formello.

The 27-year-old Milinkovic-Savic has made 32 Serie A appearances so far this season, for a total of 2659 minutes. In that time, he’s scored nine goals and provided 10 assists.
