There are positive signs for Pedro ahead of Lazio’s upcoming match against Milan but his availability is still in doubt.
The 34-year-old Spanish winger was forced to miss the Biancocelesti’s recent 1-1 draw with Torino due to calf problems and he hardly featured in the win over Genoa a week prior to that. Pedro was seen in Formello for the post-Genoa training session but has since disappeared.
As detailed by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Pedro has been recovering from a calf injury and so hasn’t taken part in a Lazio squad training session for a little over a week. Yesterday he carried out a separate training session, carefully managing his physical condition.
The 2010 World Cup winner’s condition is not perfect but he’s confident that he’ll be fit enough to sit on the bench for the upcoming match against Milan, giving Maurizio Sarri an extra option for the second half of the game.
