Ante Rebic is in doubt for the upcoming Lazio clash after missing out on Milan’s Coppa Italia loss to Inter yesterday.
Stefano Pioli revealed in the post-match press conference yesterday that the 28-year-old Croatian forward suffered a slight knee issue during the half time break of yesterday’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg between Inter and Milan, forcing him to remain on the sidelines.
As highlighted by LazioNews24, Milan will closely monitor Rebic as the week progresses, but now there’s a serious chance that he’ll be forced to miss out on the upcoming match against Lazio, a must win game.
The Rossoneri still sit top of the Serie A table with 71 points, two ahead of second place Inter, but their intercity rivals have a game in hand; should the Nerazzurri beat Bologna, they’d be a point above Milan again.
This puts the pressure on Pioli and his squad ahead of Sunday’s match against Lazio, so losing Rebic is a frustrating blow, especially when considering Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still out with a knee issue.
