The Biancocelesti are likely to head into this weekend’s match against the Rossoneri with a heavily reduced squad as both Pedro and Patric are already in doubt due to muscle issues. The loss of seven more players would put the Lazio squad in significant difficulty for a key match.
As detailed by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), seven Lazio players are suffering from a fever and gastrointestinal problems. These players are Thomas Strakosha, Marius Adamonis, Adam Marusic, Stefan Radu, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Danilo Cataldi and Raul Moro.
COVID tests carried out in Formello on the unwell players all returned negative, and so it seems as if the squad are suffering from the same flu that struck Luis Alberto before the recent trip to Genoa.
The next few training sessions will make the state of Sarri’s squad clear but anxiety is growing in the Lazio environment.
