Alessio Romagnoli is preparing to return to the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow, in what could be his last visit before a permanent move to Lazio.
The 27-year-old Italian centre back is a lifelong fan of the Biancocelesti and has always enjoyed matches against his childhood club, but now tomorrow’s game takes on an extra meaning as he nears a move to Rome.
As detailed by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), it’s no mystery now that Romagnoli is incredibly close to a move to Lazio in the summer, with the two parties in constant contact.
There is still some distance between the two parties, with his agent Mino Raiola asking for a five-year contract worth €3.3 million net per season plus add-ons, whilst Claudio Lotito has reportedly offered €2.5 million net plus add-ons, the same salary as the departing Francesco Acerbi.
Whilst there is still distance between the two parties, optimism is high on both sides and a deal seems fairly likely now.
