Francesco Acerbi will almost certainly leave Lazio in June and multiple top Italian clubs are ready to pick him up.
The 34-year-old Italian centre back has suffered a complete relationship breakdown with the Biancocelesti faithful, with the latest incident being his deranged grin following Sandro Tonali’s late winner in Lazio’s 2-1 loss to Milan on Sunday.
As highlighted by both Il Messaggero and Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Acerbi is destined to leave Lazio early in the transfer window as a result of the terribly fractured relationship between player and fans, which started with his ‘shh’ celebration in a win over Genoa in December.
In the January transfer window, president Claudio Lotito put a €10 million price tag on Acerbi but now he’s willing to cut his losses in the summer in order to let the defender leave. Inter, Juventus and Milan are all interested in picking him up, so a deal shouldn’t be too difficult to pull off.
