Ciro Immobile continues to prove himself as one of the best goalscorers in Europe, joining a handful of top players in an exclusive club.
The 32-year-old Italian striker has continued to shine in Rome this season, despite the massive tactical overhaul following Simone Inzaghi’s departure and Maurizio Sarri’s arrival. He has netted 31 goals across all competitions this season, being the driving force for the Roman club.
As highlighted by OptaPaolo, Immobile has become the fourth player in Europe’s top five leagues to score more than 25 goals in the league at least three times since the 2016-17 season, when he signed for Lazio.
The other three players to achieve this feat are Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, some of the most celebrated goalscorers in modern football, underlining the heights hit by the 32-year-old Italian striker.
Immobile is on the hunt for his fourth Capocannoniere title and things are looking good currently; he has netted 26 Serie A goals, three more than second place Dusan Vlahovic.
