Lazio Hope to Recover Sarri Favourite Pedro Ahead of Spezia Clash

Lazio are hoping to recover experienced winger Pedro ahead of their next match against Spezia.

The 34-year-old Spanish winger has missed the Biancocelesti’s last two matches against Torino and Milan due to a calf injury, leaving him frustrated on the sidelines. He had only missed one league match prior to this latest issue, a 0-0 draw with Atalanta back in January.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Maurizio Sarri is desperate to recover Pedro ahead of Lazio’s next match against Spezia, believing that the 2010 World Cup winner gives the squad an important boost.

The former Roma and Chelsea winger has been a key man under the 63-year-old Italian coach this season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 30 Serie A appearances.

Pedro also plays an important role in the dressing room, being an experienced winner who knows Sarri’s system well from their time together in West London. The 34-year-old also acts a mentor figure to young Spanish-speaking wingers Raul Moro and Luka Romero.
