Claudio Lotito was unimpressed with the Lazio fans’ protest but was calmer discussing Francesco Acerbi and Maurizio Sarri.

The Biancocelesti president upset the club’s faithful last week after ticket prices for the match against Milan started at €40 for the Curva Nord and €60 for the Distinti stands, something the fans refused to pay. The atmosphere in the Stadio Olimpico almost resembled a home game for the Rossoneri as a result.

Speaking to a number of journalists in Rome (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lotito first discussed how he plans to mend the relationship between himself and the Lazio faithful.

Ask the fans, I can’t give advice. They sing and chant themselves, they use anything as an excuse, like the €40 ticket price.

Forgive me, go and do a survey to see how much other teams put up, while we only put up €40 for four games in the season. Same price for Inter and Juventus, so I don’t understand what the problem is.

The ‘they won’t come anyway’ joke? They shouldn’t get angry. It wasn’t a joke, it was a matter of fact.

He gave his thoughts on the controversy surrounding Acerbi, who was seen manically grinning following Sandro Tonali’s late winner on Sunday.

It has been made clear that if one is under pressure he has hysterical reactions of a nervous nature.

Lotito spoke about the future of coach Maurizio Sarri, who still hasn’t put pen to paper on the now-infamous contract renewal.

The accounts are made at the end like everything. Sarri isn’t certain either? Who ever said he wasn’t certain?

You can be happy when you’ve reached a goal, it’s still premature at the moment, although I have great respect for him. He’s a man of great quality and he works 24 hours a day on the pitch. That is not up for discussion.

Finally, Lotito discussed Inter’s dominant win over Roma on Saturday and if he expected that result.

I’m not interested in what other teams do. My own things are already a problem, let alone those of others.
