RCD Mallorca are interested in signing Vedat Muriqi on a permanent deal and they’ve coming up with a plan.
The 28-year-old Kosovan forward, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, joined the Spanish side on a six-month loan deal with a €12 million buy option attached back in the January transfer window. Things have started well for Muriqi, who has scored four goals already for Mallorca.
As reported by Okdiario, Mallorca are very happy with Muriqi following his loan move from Lazio but the biggest obstacle blocking a deal is the price tag.
€12 million in a single instalment is too much for the Spanish side, but they are considering proposing other solutions, such as paying in four instalments.
Before any steps will be taken, however, Mallorca need to secure their spot in La Liga. They currently sit 16th in the league table, two points ahead of relegation candidates Granada. With only five games of the season left, things will be extremely tense on the Spanish island.
