Lazio Face Complications in Deal for Barcelona Linked Romagnoli

Lazio’s work to sign Alessio Romagnoli has become significantly more complicated as both Milan and Barcelona look to rock the boat.

The Biancocelesti have been in talks with the 27-year-old Italian centre back for a number of months now and things have been looking relatively positive, but no deal has been finalised yet. Some fans are already considering Romagnoli a Lazio player but things may not be that simple after all.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio have offered Romagnoli a contract worth €2.2 million net per season plus add-ons, significantly less than the €3.3 million plus add-ons requested by his agent Mino Raiola.

Lazio risk losing out to both Milan and Barcelona; the Rossoneri could still look to tie him down to a new deal following the completion of Investcorp’s takeover and the Blaugrana are also interested in picking him up.

Updates are expected soon, but once again the Roman club risk missing out on their top transfer target.
