Lazio will meet with Patric and his entourage next week as they look to tie him down to a new deal.
The 29-year-old Spanish defender has managed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri of his qualities this season, proving himself a tactically flexible and reliable option. In the last 15 games, Patric has started 12, showing the Italian coach’s increased trust lately.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are prepared to offer Patric a new deal worth around €1 million net per season plus add-ons, a little below Valencia’s reported offer of €1.2 million plus add-ons.
The Spaniard currently earns €750,000 and his contract expires at the end of this season, so Lazio need to work fast if they want to secure his services for the future.
The 29-year-old Patric, who joined the Biancocelesti in July 2015 from Barcelona, has made 27 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1950 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided one assist.
