Juventus are ready to offer Weston McKennie to Lazio in a bid to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
The 23-year-old American midfielder featured consistently under Massimiliano Allegri this season, proving himself to be a reliable and talented midfielder. McKennie has missed the last two months of action due to a metatarsal fracture but he’s expected to make a full recovery.
As reported by Tuttosport (via LazioNews24), Juventus are desperate to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer but their initial exchange offer of Daniele Rugani failed to convince Lazio. As such, they’re now ready to include McKennie in a possible deal instead, hoping it’ll give them an edge over their competition.
It’s a strange offer, however, as president Claudio Lotito is incredibly unlikely to accept any players in exchange for the Serbian star. Lazio are looking to overhaul their squad this summer and so they want to generate as much cash as possible through the sale of Milinkovic-Savic.
