Immobile Hits Another Career Milestone With Lazio After Goal vs Spezia

Ciro Immobile matched another two Serie A records with his goal against Spezia yesterday.

The 32-year-old Italian striker scored the first equaliser against the Ligurian side in yesterday’s thrilling 4-3 comeback win, making no mistake from the penalty spot. It was the 27th goal in Serie A this season for Immobile, who is on the hunt for his fourth Capocannoniere title.

As highlighted by OptaPaolo, yesterday’s goal against Spezia was Immobile’s 150th for Lazio, matching the record set by Kurt Hamrin, who scored the same amount with Fiorentina. The Italian striker is now 10th on the all-time list.

Topping that list is Francesco Totti, who netted 250 goals for Roma during his career. It’s incredibly unlikely that Immobile will be able to match that, although he’s likely to still continue rising up the rankings before his career ends.

Contracted to Lazio until 2026, Immobile has previously stated that he intends to end his career in Rome, giving Biancocelesti fans a few more years to enjoy his qualities.
