Mateja Kezman, the agent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, has denied having given an interview suggesting his client wants to join Manchester United.
A report circulating various Italian and French outlets yesterday claimed to be an interview with the Serbian football agent, where he apparently suggested that Milinkovic-Savic wanted to join the Red Devils specifically, despite the interest of Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to TuttoJuve.com this morning, Kezman confirmed that the interview regarding his client’s desire to join Manchester United was fake news.
It’s big fake news. I have never given interviews in the last period, some journalists are really unbelievable! I’m very angry, it’s a lack of respect towards me, towards Sergej and towards Lazio.
The 27-year-old Milinkovic-Savic seems destined for a big money move in the summer and both PSG and Manchester United are desperate to secure his signature, with some reports claiming that both clubs are willing to pay over €70 million for him.
It’ll be a long few months for Milinkovic-Savic, Lazio and the fans, as it’s likely this story will drag out for a little while longer yet.
The Serbian midfielder has scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 34 Serie A appearances this season for the Biancocelesti.
