With only three Serie A games remaining, Lazio’s European destiny remains firmly in their own hands.

The last three games of the season are decisive on a number of fronts, both at the top with the Scudetto race between Inter and Milan, and at the bottom as a number of teams avoid the drop to Serie B. Just above the middle, Lazio are one of four teams fighting hard for European qualification.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio only need to win two out of their remaining three games to be sure of European qualification, as the point haul would be enough to qualify them for either the Europa League or the Europa Conference League.

Winning two out of the three against Sampdoria, Hellas Verona and Juventus would see Lazio finish 7th in the table at worst, enough to secure a Conference League spot.

Maurizio Sarri’s goal, however, is to finish ahead of intercity rivals Roma, something Lazio have achieved for the last two consecutive years.
