Lazio fans are set to return to the Stadio Olimpico for the upcoming match against Sampdoria, returning after their recent protest.
The Biancocelesti ultras refused to attend the recent 2-1 home defeat to Milan due to the high ticket prices, leaving the Stadio Olimpico barren as the Rossoneri managed to generate a comfortable atmosphere. The following game was away to Spezia, and the travelling support was better there.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio fans are expected to return in droves for the upcoming match against Sampdoria, as over 10,000 tickets have already been sold. More tickets are set to be sold on Thursday onwards, when a surge is expected.
The Roman club are hoping that at least 30,000 fans will attend the match; this figure was the maximum reached since the stadium capacity returned to 100%.
With only three games of the season remaining, Lazio need every edge possible as they look to beat out rivals Roma to 5th in the Serie A table.
