Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Benjamin Bourigeaud are the two top in Lazio’s search for a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic replacement.
The Biancocelesti are preparing to overhaul their squad in the summer and Milinkovic-Savic will be sold to fund the work, meaning a key replacement will be needed in the midfield. Sporting director Igli Tare and coach Maurizio Sarri are now examining a number of possible options.
As reported by Il Tempo (via LazioNews24), Tare’s search has led him to put two names above the rest: Loftus-Cheek and Bourigeaud. The former’s contract expires with Chelsea in 2024 but his €4 million net per season salary could prove problematic.
Finally, Lazio are also keeping a close eye on Wolves midfielder Leander Dendoncker, whose contract expires with the Premier League side next year. Tare has been a fan of the Belgian since his time at Anderlecht.
