Lazio, Roma & Arsenal All In Chase Of Hoffenheim Defender Grillitsch

Florian Grillitsch will have no shortage of options this summer as Lazio, Roma, Arsenal and Newcastle United are all keen to sign him on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old Austrian midfielder has had a difficult season in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, struggling to maintain a consistent run of games amid muscle and illness problems. Regardless, he’s a strong defender who is incredibly comfortable with the ball at his feet, progressing play well.

According to Spanish sources (via LazioNews24), Grillitsch will leave Hoffenheim on a free transfer next month and Lazio are one of the four clubs keenest on picking him up, facing competition from Roma, Arsenal and Newcastle.

Due to Lazio’s issues with the liquidity index, the club are following a number of free agents as they look to overhaul Maurizio Sarri’s squad on a slight budget.
