Luis Alberto Eyes up Assist Record Ahead of Sampdoria Clash

Luis Alberto is keen to match an interesting assist record ahead of Lazio’s next match against Sampdoria.

The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder has been one of the key players in Maurizio Sarri’s squad this season, even if he’s sometimes struggled with inconsistency. Luis Alberto came off the bench in the 4-3 win over Spezia last weekend and immediately made an impact, providing two assists.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Luis Alberto has picked up nine assists in 32 Serie A appearances this season and he’s aiming for double figures. Should he achieve this, the Lazio midfielder would become the second Spaniard to pick up 10 assists in three different league campaigns since 2004-05.

The 29-year-old Luis Alberto, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has made 42 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2850 minutes. In that time, he’s scored four goals and provided 10 assists, eventually finding a good understanding with Sarri.
