Adam Marusic has agreed to sign a new long-term contract renewal with Lazio, extending his stay in Rome.
The 29-year-old Montenegrin full back has been a favourite of Maurizio Sarri this season, proving himself to be tactically flexible and consistently reliable, only making a few errors across the season. Marusic has earnt his spot in the Lazio squad and now his future is secure.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Marusic signed a two-year contract extension with Lazio last August, extending his stay in Rome until 2024. This new deal will see him tied to the club until 2026, a sign of his importance to Sarri. It’s unclear if his salary will be increased or not.
The Montenegrin full back is represented by agent Mateja Kezman, who also represents Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. He’s been working hard to find the perfect move for the Serbian star and so has had the chance to progress Marusic’s renewal as well.
