Lazio Hope Fenerbahce Rekindle Interest in On-Loan Muriqi

Lazio are hoping that Fenerbahce re-ignite their interest in Vedat Muriqi as RCD Mallorca do not plan to activate his buy option.

The 28-year-old Kosovan forward is having a decent time in Spain following his six-month loan move in January, finally finding something to smile about. Muriqi has scored four goals in 12 league appearances for Mallorca and he’s now working hard to help them avoid suffering relegation.

As reported by Turkish outlet Sporx.com, Mallorca will not activate the €12 million buy option to sign Muriqi on a permanent deal, meaning that he’ll return to Lazio in the summer. He is not included in their future plans and so a new buyer is needed.

Sporting director Igli Tare is now looking for a new club and he’s hoping that Fenerbahce rekindle their interest. There has been no contact yet but given Muriqi’s desire to return to Turkey, a deal is definitely possible.
