Sarri Desperate for Lazio to Finish Above Roma in European Race

Maurizio Sarri is keeping his Lazio squad fully charged for the final few games of the season, hoping to secure 5th in the Serie A table.

The Biancocelesti and intercity rivals Roma are currently tied 59 points with only three games remaining, setting up an incredible tense end to the season for both teams. Fiorentina is also hot on their heels, only sitting three points behind.

As highlighted by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Sarri is keeping tension high in the Lazio environment as the season draws to a close; he fears a relaxed atmosphere in Formello and so wants to keep his squad fired up as they battle with Roma for 5th in the table.

Sarri’s objective is clear; finish ahead of Roma to put pressure on them ahead of the Europa Conference League final on 25th May. With three games remaining, this is the Biancocelesti’s final chance to get one over their intercity rivals.
