Immobile in Doubt for Juventus vs Lazio Due to Injury

Ciro Immobile may be forced to miss the upcoming Serie A clash between Juventus and Lazio due to an ankle problem.

The 32-year-old Italian striker played the full 90 minutes of the Biancocelesti’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Saturday and he performed well, even if he failed to find the back of the net. He is on the charge for his fourth Capocannoniere title and currently sits four goals ahead of second place Dusan Vlahovic.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Immobile suffered a sprained ankle during the win over Sampdoria, leaving it swollen and sore after the match. He is now in doubt for the upcoming match between Juventus and Lazio on 16th May.

The Biancocelesti talisman will now have a few days to rest and attempt to return to full fitness, but there’s a serious chance that he’ll be forced to miss the game. Knowing Immobile, he will at least try to make a substitute appearance in the game, however.
