Pedro Undergoes Further Medical Tests in Push for Lazio Return

Lazio winger Pedro has undergone another round of medical tests in Rome as he pushes to return in time for the upcoming Juventus clash.

The 34-year-old Spanish forward suffered a calf issue following the Biancocelesti’s 4-1 win over Genoa at the start of April and he’s been sidelined ever since, missing the last four consecutive league outings. With only two games left in the season, Pedro is now desperate to return to action.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Pedro took further medical tests today at the Paideia clinic in Rome as he looks to see if he’ll be able to return to action soon. Lazio take on Juventus on 16th May in Turin, so he has around a week to continue his recovery.

The 34-year-old Pedro has made 39 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Lazio, for a total of 2484 minutes. In that time, he’s scored nine goals and provided five assists. Coach Maurizio Sarri highlighted how delicate Pedro’s injury is after the win over Sampdoria on Saturday.
