Manuel Locatelli has seemingly recovered in time for the upcoming Serie A match between Juventus and Lazio.
The 24-year-old Italian midfielder, who joined the Bianconeri on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached last summer, suffered a medial collateral ligament in Juventus’ 1-0 loss to Inter on 3rd April, leaving him sidelined for over a month.
As highlighted by LazioNews24, Locatelli returned to squad training today and he seems fit enough to take part in the upcoming Serie A match against Lazio next Monday. It’s unlikely that the Juventus midfielder will play a significant role in the Coppa Italia final against Inter tomorrow as the club carefully manage his condition.
The 24-year-old Locatelli has been one of the most important midfielders in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad this season and his absence was painfully felt. His return could prove the difference maker in Juventus’ final two league matches of the campaign.
