Lazio and Napoli are both closely following midfielder Adrien Tameze ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Biancocelesti are looking to significantly overhaul their squad over the next few months in an attempt to provide coach Maurizio Sarri with a more competitive squad as he looks to fight for a top four finish.
As reported by L’Arena (via LazioNews24), Lazio and Napoli both sent scouts to closely watch Tameze during Hellas Verona’s 3-1 loss to Milan on Sunday. Despite the result, both clubs were impressed with the defensive midfielder’s performance.
Some unnamed foreign clubs are also keeping a close eye on Tameze and he seems destined for a move to a bigger club in the summer. The 28-year-old Cameroonian has scored four goals and provided two assists in 36 Serie A appearances this season.
Valued at around €7 million and contracted to Hellas Verona until 2024, Tameze is a formidable defensive midfielder who is skilled at making interceptions, blocks and clearances. He is also powerful in the air and is good with the ball at his feet.
