Immobile Desperate to Be Fit in Time for Juventus vs Lazio

Ciro Immobile may be forced to miss Lazio’s upcoming match against Juventus due to an ankle injury.

The 32-year-old Italian striker suffered a sprained ankle in the 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Saturday after a heavy clash with Alex Ferrari in the first half. Immobile played the full 90 minutes despite the injury, with the club trying their best to solve the issue during the half-time break.

As reported by Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), it’ll take another couple of days until Immobile’s condition is fully clear; the Italian’s ankle is still a little swollen and there’s some slight pain, which is why he missed squad training yesterday.

One thing that may prove key for Immobile is the scheduling of the match. Lazio will face Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Monday, giving him a little more time than usual to try and recover. He’s hoping to return to Formello on the weekend at the latest, desperate to take part in the match.
