Sead Haksabanovic has approached Lazio ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Montenegrin winger was signed by Rubin Kazan last summer in a deal worth €6.5 million, but due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine he wants to sign for a new club. He is currently on loan at Swedish side Djurgården.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio sporting director Igli Tare was approached by Haksabanovic and his entourage over the last few days as they look to leave Rubin Kazan for good.

The 23-year-old Haksabanovic would not be particularly expensive and could be a low-risk back-up option for the left wing, something which Maurizio Sarri may appreciate. Updates are expected closer to the opening of the transfer market.

The Montenegrin winger has made 31 appearances across all competitions for both Rubin Kazan and Djurgården this season, for a total of 2706 minutes. In that time, he’s scored three goals and provided five assists.
