Beppe Signori is unlikely to be brought in to replace Angelo Peruzzi as Lazio’s new team coordinator, despite Claudio Lotito’s considerations.
The former goalkeeper resigned last summer following a relationship breakdown with president Claudio Lotito and no replacement was brought in, leaving the team coordinator role vacant for this campaign. The club have been considering a number of options and they’re starting to draw up a short-list.
The Lazio president would prefer to bring in somebody who is not a former player, although he appreciates that picking up Signori would send an important message to the fans.
Peruzzi was held in high esteem by the Lazio squad and a top replacement will be needed as Maurizio Sarri works to build an important project in Rome.
