Ciro Immobile will face off against Capocannoniere rival Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming clash between Juventus and Lazio.
The 32-year-old Italian striker is working hard to be fit enough to take part in the match against the Bianconeri on the Monday. He is still suffering from an ankle problem suffered in the first half of the win over Sampdoria last weekend, but he has no intention of missing the upcoming clash.
Immobile has had a prolific Serie A season under Maurizio Sarri, netting 27 goals in 31 league appearances this season. He currently tops the Serie A top scorer rankings, sitting four goals ahead of the second place Vlahovic.
The Lazio talisman can essentially secure his fourth Capocannoniere title with a good display against Juventus on Monday, as one or two more goals would all but confirm his achievement ahead of the final game of the season.
Vlahovic’s top scorer charge significantly fell off following his €80 million move from Fiorentina to Juventus in January; he netted 17 goals in the first half of the season for the Viola but only six in the second half under Massimiliano Allegri.
