Reports from Belgium have linked Lazio with a move for Union SG midfielder Casper Nielsen.
The 28-year-old Danish midfielder has had a great campaign with the Belgian side in the Jupiler Pro League, scoring seven goals and providing six assists as the team finished top of the table in the regular season. He has proven to be a reliable and creative player who can fill a number of roles.
As reported by Belgian newspaper HLN (via LazioNews24), Lazio have set their sights on Casper Nielsen as they prepare to replace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who will likely be sold this summer to a top club like Paris Saint-Germain.
The 28-year-old Nielsen can play in a variety of positions in the midfield, including in a more attacking role as well as just in front of the defence, showing his tactical flexibility. Picking up the Dane this summer would give Maurizio Sarri an experienced and talented option to shore up his midfield.
