Sergej Milinkovic-Savic once had the chance to sign for Manchester City but he ultimately turned the move down.
The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder is continuing to prove himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A this season and he’s instantly adapted to Maurizio Sarri’s tactical system, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists in 35 Serie A appearances this season. He’s destined for a move to a top club this summer.
As revealed by super agent Roberto De Fanti to Caught Offside, Milinkovic-Savic was close to a move to Manchester City three years ago but he decided to turn down the move, not feeling ready to make the jump to the Premier League.
The Lazio star has been linked with the Sky Blues since 2017 and it’s likely that he’d have shined under Pep Guardiola in Manchester, but now he’ll have to wait for a move elsewhere, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain both keen to secure him this summer.
