Sarri’s Agent Meets Lazio to Discuss Contract Renewal

Maurizio Sarri’s agent Fali Ramadani visited Formello yesterday to discuss a possible contract renewal with Lazio.

Renewing the 63-year-old Italian coach’s contract has been a never-ending story in the Italian capital this season following Claudio Lotito’s initial mention of the idea. The Lazio president wants to tie Sarri down to a longer deal, confirming the project and removing a release clause valid for foreign clubs.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Sarri’s contract renewal is still an important goal for the Lazio management and his agent Ramadani met Igli Tare yesterday to discuss the idea.

The key to the renewal, without a shadow of a doubt, is the upcoming summer transfer market. Sarri wants around six or seven reinforcements to arrive in order to make the squad more competitive ahead of next season.

The Lazio coach is understandably anxious following the disappointing January window and so he’s waiting for guarantees before he puts pen to paper.
