Romagnoli Talks With Lazio at Total Standstill Over Salary

Talks between Alessio Romagnoli and Lazio have totally stalled due to the difference in salary expectations.

The 27-year-old Italian centre back is set to leave Milan after seven years in the summer on a free transfer, making him an attractive free agent to a number of clubs, including the Biancocelesti, Barcelona and Juventus. Lazio have been in talks with Romagnoli for months now and fans have been excited.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Romagnoli is still a top target for Lazio but the talks have stalled due to difference between the offer and his requests; The Roman club have prepared a four-year deal worth €2.5 million net per season, but he wants €3 million net plus add-ons.

It seems as if Lazio will be forced to raise their offer if they want to secure the Milan captain’s signature in the summer, or else risk losing out to the other interested clubs like Barcelona.
