Patric has managed to win over Maurizio Sarri this season and he’ll be offered a new contract in the coming weeks.
The 29-year-old Spanish defender initially struggled to convince the 63-year-old Italian coach and he only made one start in the first seven Serie A matches of the campaign. After the Christmas break, Patric began to really turn things around and he’s now a nailed on starter under Sarri.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Patric has fully secured Sarri’s trust and will now be offered a four-year contract worth just over €1m net per season. His current deal with Lazio is set to expire at the end of next month so updates are expected in the next couple of weeks.
Due to the fact that he picked up a booking in last night’s 2-2 draw with Juventus, Patric will not take part in the final game of the season against Hellas Verona, missing out due to a yellow-card suspension.
