Lazio are preparing to send an improved offer to Alessio Romagnoli as they look to close out a deal for the Milan captain.
The 27-year-old Italian centre back is set to leave the Rossoneri on a free transfer next month and the Biancocelesti have been desperate to secure his signature for a number of months now. Recently things went quiet and fans were concerned that Lazio’s offer was insufficient, but a recent meeting changed things.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio briefly met with Enzo Raiola, who represents Romagnoli, at Formello yesterday to discuss both a deal for the Milan captain and a possible contract renewal for Patric.
The Roman club have made it clear that they’re willing to increase their salary offer from €2.5 million net per season plus add-ons to get closer to the requested €3 million net per season plus add-ons.
A new meeting has been scheduled and Lazio are feeling extremely confident, ready to finally secure Romagnoli’s signature.
