Ciro Immobile has been awarded the Serie A MVP Best Striker title following another incredible campaign with Lazio.
The 32-year-old Italian striker has continued to be a talismanic figure for the Roman club, showing no signs of slowing down this season despite the massive shift in tactical direction. Under Maurizio Sarri, Immobile has consistently managed to prove the difference maker in the majority of league outings, securing a hefty number of points almost single-handedly.
As announced by Lega Serie A, Immobile has won the Serie A Best Striker award for the second time after his incredible season with Lazio. The Italian striker previously won the award back in the 2019-20 season.
The Lazio talisman is on course to win his fourth Capocannoniere title; he has scored 27 league goals this season, three more than second place Dusan Vlahovic. This would be a record breaking achievement for Immobile as he’d become the first Italian to win the Serie A top scorer title four times.
