Maurizio Sarri wants to be reunited with Everton midfielder Allan as he overhauls his Lazio squad this summer.

The 31-year-old Brazilian has been a transfer market dream of Sarri since he arrives in Rome last year and a deal could be carried out this summer. Allan has been planning to leave Everton since April and his contract expires in 2023, making a deal fairly accessible.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are keen to sign Allan but they’re concerned about the Everton midfielder’s salary; he currently earns €4 million net per season, something the Roman club are unwilling to pay.

Allan is keen to work under Sarri again and Lazio could look to take advantage of the the tax benefits of the Growth Decree to sign the Brazilian on a three-year contract.

Everything depends on Everton’s transfer market strategy and how much they want for the 31-year-old midfielder’s signature. He currently has an estimated market value of around €18 million.

Apollo’s Thoughts

This could be a great deal for Lazio, depending on how much Everton want. Allan was one of the most important players in Sarri’s electric Napoli squad and he’d undoubtedly be a top replacement for Lucas Leiva, who is leaving on a free transfer.
