Official: Sarri Signs Three-Year Contract Renewal With Lazio

Lazio have officially announced that head coach Maurizio Sarri has signed a three-year contract renewal, tying him to the club until 2025.

The Biancocelesti coach took over last summer following the unexpected departure of Simone Inzaghi, and things went well in his debut year. Lazio achieved a fifth place finish under Sarri and he averaged 1.70 points per match from his 37 Serie A games in charge.

As confirmed in a statement by Lazio, Sarri has put pen to paper on a three-year contract renewal, tying him to Biancocelesti until 2025. The 63-year-old Italian coach expects a number of reinforcements this summer, something which was a key topic in the renewal talks over the last few months with president Claudio Lotito.

Sarri will earn €3.5 million net per season and a Scudetto bonus has also been included in the contract. The release clause valid for foreign clubs has been removed, underlining the seriousness of the project in Rome now.
