Talks between Lazio and Atalanta regarding Marco Carnesecchi are entering a decisive stage and an agreement could be reached this week.

The Biancocelesti have had their eye on the 21-year-old Italian goalkeeper for months now and believe that he’d be the perfect addition to Maurizio Sarri’s squad in Rome. Lazio initially valued Carnesecchi at €9-10 million, far below Atalanta’s €18 million valuation.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Atalanta have since dropped their price to €15 million and Carnesecchi’s agent is now working to narrow the gap, meaning a deal could be reached on the basis of around €12-13 million, including a percentage on future resale clause.

Lazio are proposing a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached and they’ve already agreed personal terms with Carnesecchi, who is incredibly keen to join Sarri’s project.

The two parties will meet again to talk in the coming days and they could reach an agreement before the end of the week, with all parties hoping to pull off a deal.
