Lazio are now forced into quickly making a decision regarding the future of Jovane Cabral as Olympique Marseille start to make a move.
The 23-year-old Cape Verdean winger joined the Biancocelesti in the January transfer window on loan from Sporting CP, being a relatively confusing arrival. He only made four appearances in total for the Roman club, scoring in the final game of the season against Hellas Verona.
As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Maurizio Sarri is a little unconvinced about Cabral and so far hasn’t given the green light for a deal. Sporting director Igli Tare feels completely differently, however, and is pushing to sign the 23-year-old, who would cost around €5-6 million.
Lazio will need to make a decision fast as Olympique Marseille are preparing to submit an official offer to Sporting for Cabral. Tare is now working hard to try and convince both Sarri and Claudio Lotito of the benefits of the investment, and he has no time to waste.
