Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is likely to stay with Lazio this summer, despite the serious interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder was one of the stars of the season for the Roman club, being a core figure in Maurizio Sarri’s side as he went on to score 11 goals and provide 11 assists in 37 Serie A appearances this season. Milinkovic-Savic seemed destined to be sold this summer as Lazio look to fund their transfer market objectives, but now things have changed.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), no offers have arrived yet that cross Lazio’s threshold of €65 million, the lowest they’d accept for Milinkovic-Savic.

The only two Premier League teams that have been serious about the Serbian midfielder are Arsenal and Newcastle United, but they’ve been turned down by the player, who would only leave Lazio for a top European club that’s competing in the Champions League.

PSG and Manchester United have also been keen to pick up Milinkovic-Savic for months now but their interest has quietened down in recent weeks and no concrete offers have arrived.

Should Lazio retain the 27-year-old midfielder, it’s likely that they’d need to consider tying him down to a new deal, with his current contract expiring in 2024.
