Lazio have been waiting for Marcos Antonio to arrive in Rome and a date has finally been set as he prepares to sign for the club.
The Biancocelesti are picking up the 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder for around €8 million plus €1-2 million in add-ons from Shakhtar Donetsk. The deal seems like a bargain for Lazio, who are adding a talented and experienced midfielder to their squad for a fairly low price.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Marcos Antonio was originally scheduled to arrive in Rome tomorrow on 13th June, but now this has been pushed back to 20th June. On that day, he’ll arrive in Rome and undergo his medicals before signing a multi-year contract with Lazio.
Marcos Antonio is expected to earn around €900,000 net per season plus add-ons linked to European qualification. He’ll likely make an immediate impact in Rome, being the replacement for the departing Lucas Leiva.
