Lazio are ready to improve their offer to Alessio Romagnoli as they look to finally close out a deal for the Milan captain.
The Biancocelesti have been in talks with the 27-year-old Italian defender for a while now but talks stalled as €500,000 separated offer from request. Neither party seemed willing to budge and things hit a total standstill, leading many fans to fear that the club will miss out on Romagnoli.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio are looking to finally close out a deal for Romagnoli, adding him to Maurizio Sarri’s squad ahead of the pre-season training retreat in Auronzo di Cadore.
The improved offer will see the Biancocelesti offer the Milan captain a salary of €3 million net per season plus add-ons, adding €500,000 to their latest offer and matching his request.
The 27-year-old Italian defender is known to be a lifelong fan of the Roman club and many fans are excited to finally see him wear a Biancocelesti shirt.
