Lazio are thinking about making a move for Salvatore Sirigu this summer as a temporary solution, but they could lose out to Napoli.

The Biancocelesti have been keen to sign Atalanta talent Marco Carnesecchi for a while now and the promising Italian is still the club’s number one choice, but they’re a little concerned about the fact that he might miss three months of action due to a shoulder injury, which may require surgery.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Lazio are considering signing Sirigu as a temporary solution to this problem, allowing them to either return for Carnesecchi in the winter or sign him this summer and give him time to recover fully.

There is only one major obstacle, however. The 35-year-old Italian shot stopper has promised Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis that he’d join the club should David Ospina leave this summer. The Colombian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
