Napoli Preparing Exchange Offer for Lazio Star Luis Alberto

Napoli are interested in signing Luis Alberto this summer and they’re considering sending Matteo Politano to Lazio in exchange.

Coach Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of the 29-year-old Spaniard, but Lazio’s €30 million valuation is considered too high by the Partenopei. Due to this, they are looking for ways to lower the tangible costs of the deal and one idea is to include an interesting player in exchange.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Napoli are considering inserting Politano in a deal for Luis Alberto, hoping that Maurizio Sarri will be convinced by a favourite of his. Lazio previously expressed interest in the Italian winger last summer before moving away due to his €20-25 million valuation.

Napoli are now preparing an offer to Lazio of €10 million plus Politano for the Spanish midfielder. It’s hard to imagine Claudio Lotito accepting this deal, as he usually refuses to consider players in exchange.

Should the offer actually arrive, however, Lotito would then sit down with Sarri to discuss the idea of the move. Things also depend on Luis Alberto’s wishes, with the midfielder still dreaming of a return to Spain.

The 28-year-old Politano made 39 appearances across all competitions this season under Spalletti, for a total of 1906 minutes. In that time, he scored five goals and provided seven assists.
