Adrian Offered to Lazio After Liverpool Departure

Adrian has been offered to Lazio as he looks for a new club following his contract expiry with Liverpool.

The 35-year-old Spanish shot-stopper spent three years with the Reds from 2019 to 2022, joining on a free transfer from West Ham to be their third choice option. Adrian ultimately made 25 appearances for Liverpool, conceding 35 goals and keeping seven clean sheets.

As reported by Il Tempo (via LazioNews24), Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has been offered Adrian by his entourage as they search for a new home following his Liverpool departure. One thing that helps facilitate a deal is that the club already have a good relationship with his representatives, as they also work with Pedro.

Lazio are looking to sign talented youngster Marco Carnesecchi from Atalanta, but he is out with a shoulder injury for the next three to four months, so a reliable backup option is needed. Pepe Reina is still contracted to the club for one more season but there are concerns about his consistent capability.

The Biancocelesti have also been linked with a few other low-cost options to resolve this issue, like Genoa veteran Salvatore Sirigu, but it is clear that they are still placing their trust in Carnesecchi to be their first-choice option for the long-term.
