Lazio are keeping a close eye on Spanish goalkeeper Neto, who could arrive on a low-cost deal from Barcelona.

The Biancocelesti are looking to sign one or two shot-stoppers this summer and their first choice option is the injured Marco Carnesecchi, who has been sidelined for three to four months following shoulder surgery. The Roman club are unsure about Pepe Reina, so they’re also debating picking up a new second-choice option.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio have added Barcelona backup goalkeeper Neto to their list of possible options, keeping a close eye on his situation in Spain. The 32-year-old is contracted to the club for one more year and has an estimated market value of around €3 million.

The Brazilian goalkeeper only made four appearances across all competitions last season for the Blaugrana, conceding five goals and keeping no clean sheets, although three of those four games were wins.

The former Juventus and Fiorentina shot-stopper is represented by the same agency as Felipe Anderson, which helps facilitate a deal. Neto previously made 83 Serie A appearances for both the Bianconeri and the Viola, conceding 89 goals and keeping 31 clean sheets. His last season as a starter came in the 2018-19 campaign when he made 34 La Liga appearances for Valencia.
